Lesson 1. Planets in Astrology
We strat from the role of planets in astrology. A brief interpretations of all the ten planets (including the luminaries), for the first acquaintance. Personal, social and higher planets. Please memorize the symbols of the planets!
Lesson 2. The Zodiac
The ecliptic and the Zodiac. The twelve Signs of the Zodiac - what they are and their brief characteristics. It is important to understand that in astrology almost always (okay, for all practical purposes I can say always) we are using the Signs of the Zodiac and not constellations! It is very important to remember the symbols of the Signs of the Zodiac, and the sequence of Signs in the Zodiac.
Lesson 3. What is Horoscope
This lesson explains the basic structure of a traditional horoscope and shows that it's basically a simplified map of the sky for a specific place and a certain time. The reason I am introducing this relatively complex material at such an early stage is because I want you to start getting to use to horoscopes, to become able to identify their main elements (which isn't that difficult after all!). Nowadays, it is very easy to create a horoscope as there are free online services and free software available.
Lesson 4. The Signs of the Zodiac: the Elements
We are beginning to learn how to read a horoscope, how to extract from it a valuable information, and the relationships between the planets and the signs is a valuable source of such information. First of all, let's have a look at the Elements - Fire, Earth, Air, Water - and how to find out their balance in a horoscope.
Lesson 5. The Signs of the Zodiac: the Qualities and the Polarities
The Signs of the Zodiac have different dynamic qualities: some of them are Cardinal, others are Fixed, and still others are Mutable. In this lesson, we'll learn how to estimate the balance of Qualities in a horoscope, and how to understand what this tells us about the person whose natal chart we are studying. We shall also have a look at Polarities in horoscope.
Lesson 6. The Planets' Dignities and Debilities
Planets have different relationships with different signs of the zodiac. They can be in the abode or in detriment, in exaltation or in fall, and depending on in which sign of the zodiac they are situated in a horoscope, the planets' manifestations can be very different. In this lesson, we are going to learn the details of the relationships between the planets and the signs of the zodiac.
Lesson 7. The Ascendant
The Ascendant is a very important in every horoscope. In a natal chart, its importance can be compared to that of the Sun and the Moon as id describes the major general characteristics of the person. Also, the Ascendant is the starting point for the most of the systems of houses, so its study is a good preparation to the study of houses.
